Osborne Park to host Over 60’s National Series
The Board of Bowls WA has ratified the selection of the Osborne Park Bowling Club as the host club for the National Over 60’s Sides Series in October. Six clubs had applied for host club status in what has become the largest state team tournament annually, following the withdrawal of the Northern Territory ladies from this year’s Open Sides Series.
With all states and territories now confirmed the event is eagerly looked forward to, with WA having performed strongly in recent years.
The winning application was based around quality greens, guaranteed catering capabilities and proximity to excellent accommodation in the Scarborough area.
The Board thanked all nominating clubs, in what was a very difficult decision to make.
