Masters Triples final this Sunday
The first event in the inaugural Dyenamic Masters Series is down to its final day and a winner will be found on Sunday with the final to be live streamed on Bowls WA Facebook Page from approximately 3pm.
The Bassendean Masters Triples is down to eight teams after completing sectional play last Sunday and eight strong teams are left in the tournament.
The quarter final between sections one and two will have a strong Manning flavour with four of the six players either current or recent Manning players.
Dale Marsland, Steve Withers and Scott O’Brien made it out of their section without too much difficulty winning all three games by a combined margin of 37 shots.
They’ll face Shane Knott, Kyle McIlroy and Anthony Williams in their quarter final who had to beat the tough combination of Charlie Slavich, Corey Bessant and Brad White in their section.
Locals Blake Nairn and Marcus Simpson found their way out of a very tough section along with Stuart Gosstray to book their place on the second day.
They’ll face Tom Mitchell, Steve Patterson and Miles Kemp who did what they had to do in their group.
Neville Stevens, Erron Martin and Darren Rowland squeaked through a few very close games to get through to the quarters with winning margins of six, two and one.
In contrast their opponents David Rhodes, Mick Erceg and Paul Harber had the best record of any qualifiers with three wins and 38 shots up.
John Slavich and the two former eastern staters Lee Such and Steve Collins also had a strong first day getting through their section without much trouble.
They’ll take on Cody Packer, Warren Holt and Ross Dempsey who lost a game in their section but made it through thanks to two very good wins in their other fixtures.
The quarters, semis and final will all be played at Bassendean on Sunday and the winners will have the honour of winning the first event that is part of the Dyenamic Masters Series ever.
