Bowls WA Gets the Ball Rolling to Support Legacy
With Anzac Day fast approaching Bowls WA has once again partnered with Legacy WA to support the families of those who have served their country, but to achieve our goal we need your help!
As an organisation close to the hearts and minds of many Bowls WA members, every year we ask clubs and associations to spare some change and seek contributions from members.
Collection tins will be distributed to all clubs from the beginning of February and collected after Anzac Day.
Founded on the Anzac tradition of mateship, compassion, fairness and honesty, Legacy was established to care for the families of fallen comrades and continues to keep this promise to this day.
Every year Legacy helps pick up the pieces for thousands of Australian families who have been shattered by the loss of a serving husband, wife, father or mother. This is done with little direct government support as Legacy relies on the generosity of the community.
Funds raised will help Legacy continue to offer its beneficiaries the kind of support that only a caring family can provide.
From advocacy for pensions, to welfare and counselling, education, scholarships, legal and financial advice to social groups and camps, we are able to provide families with the same opportunities as any other.
